A. No, Thomas does not allude to the fact that Jesus was just a man. The concept in fact would be contrary to most Gnostic believes. Here's a quick quote from Thomas: (77) Jesus says: (1) "I am the light that is over all. I am the All. The All came forth out of me. And to me the All has come." (2) "Split a piece of wood I am there. (3) Lift the stone, and you will find me there." Thomas is a "sayings gospel." Unlike the Gospels that are in the Bible, it has no narrative. It is just one Jesus quote after another. Many scholars assign a first century date to Thomas, so it is at least possible that it is very old.
