Through the use of this technique, practitioners believe that they are transferring and the Chinese tradition of qigong Qigong is the Mandarin Chinese term used to describe various Chinese systems of physical and mental training for health, martial arts and self-enlightenment would fall in this category.
Only a small percentage of people with cancer have been known to experience remissions that cannot be explained by the scientific community, therefore the American Cancer Society does not support claims that faith healing can actually cure physical ailments.[3] Critics have voiced concerns towards those who pursue it who may tend to depend on it instead of (or delay seeking) conventional medical care. Death, disability, and other negative outcomes may occur when faith healing was elected instead of medical care for serious injuries or illnesses.[3]
